Philippe Barcinski’s first feature length film, “Não por Acaso” (“Not by Chance”), won the Silver Hugo Award at the 43rd Chicago Intl Film Fest. “Not by Chance” is produced by Fernando Meirelles, who was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Director for “City of God” (2002) and directed Rachel Weisz in her Academy Award and Golden Globe-winning performance in “The Constant Gardener” (2005). The film is distributed by South Beach-based Ondamax Films.
